Hometown

The Bronx, New York

An issue of public concern I’m passionate about is …

the American criminal justice system which has been weaponized to unjustly take away the life, liberty and self-determination of the innocent.

Engagement or community service experience

I serve as the co-president of the Prison Reform and Education Project at Cornell University, an organization dedicated to actionable service towards justice-involved people and educating the Cornell community on the inequalities of the criminal justice system. I serve as the vice-president of Budding Branches, a student-run, nonprofit that connects high schoolers to one-on-one guidance on college admissions and life from undergraduates at 20 colleges across the US. Additionally, I am a board member of Students Shoulder-to-Shoulder, a nonprofit that sends students 7th through 12th grade on service-learning trips around the world to cultivate ethical leadership early.

A quote that inspires me

“Take heed therefore that the light which is thee be not darkness” —Luke 11:35

Fun fact

I dance salsa!
