Catholic Charities invites you to help people escape from human trafficking this Thursday, August 3 at 6:30pm. They’ve partnered with The SOAP Project (Save Our Adolescents from Prostitution), which was founded by a trafficking survivor. The SOAP Project distributes millions of bars of soap to hotels, wrapped with a red band printed with the National Human Trafficking Hotline number, 1 (888) 3737-888. This gives trafficked people access to a way to reach out for help in order to escape.
Catholic Charities has purchased 5000 bars of hotel-size soap from The SOAP project to label! Come put on some labels and learn what else you can do to stop human trafficking. Staff from the Advocacy Center and County Youth Services will speak on how trafficking is happening in our community.
