Volunteer at a magical, car-free street festival!
Volunteer at a magical, car-free street festival!

Streets Alive! Ithaca is an afternoon where the streets are closed to cars and open to people to walk, bike, roll, dance, and play. Join them at North Cayuga Street and West Court Street on Sunday, April 30th from 1-5pm for an event full of activities and creative possibilities!

They in need of volunteers to manage the route on the day-of the event.
Sign up here!

Their open streets event is made possible each year with the help of volunteers who help secure the route, welcome event goers to the event, and politely detour drivers around the festival. Volunteers may serve other as-needed roles to spread joy throughout the festival and ensure safety for participants. Shift times include:

All-Day ‘Lilies’ (12pm-5pm on the day-of event)
Early ‘Birds’ (12pm-3:15pm on the day-of event)
Later in the ‘Daisies’ (2:45pm-5pm on the day-of event)

For your volunteer support, you will receive a Streets Alive! t-shirt, snacks, and gratitude from staff and the community! If you need volunteer hours to complete requirements for work or school, Streets Alive staff can sign off on those.
