Undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in a Cornell New York state contract college, including the College of Human Ecology; School of Industrial and Labor Relations; College of Agriculture and Life Sciences; College of Veterinary Medicine

$16/hour, up to 300 hours during the academic year

At the Einhorn Center for Community Engagement, we believe that learning happens best when students connect their academic experience to community impact. The SUNY Empire State Service Corps offers Cornell students the opportunity to engage deeply with local communities and strengthen civic responsibility — all while gaining valuable paid professional experience.

- Academic year employment period is approximately September 1, 2026 – May 15, 2027
- Applications submitted after the start of employment term will be reviewed on a rolling basis, subject to available openings

- Students apply directly to SUNY Empire State Service Corps, selecting a cohort of interest
- Applications are forwarded to the Cornell campus coordinator, who facilitates placement at host sites
- Host site supervisor interviews and selects candidate(s) for employment
