The SUNY Empire State Service Corps offers Cornell students the opportunity to engage deeply with local communities and strengthen civic responsibility — all while gaining valuable paid professional experience.

- Academic year employment period is approximately September 1, 2026 – May 15, 2027
- Applications submitted after the start of employment term will be reviewed on a rolling basis, subject to available openings
- Students apply directly to SUNY Empire State Service Corps, selecting a cohort of interest
- Applications are forwarded to the Cornell campus coordinator, who facilitates placement at host sites
- Host site supervisor interviews and selects candidate(s) for employment
