JLP Prince
Co-Curricular Data Coordinator
Phone: (607) 254-4240
Email: jlp.prince@cornell.edu

As part of their role, JLP supports center staff in the assessment, evaluation and tracking of data related to non-credit-bearing community engagement.

JLP holds a BA in Religious and Ethical Studies from Meredith College in Raleigh, NC, a MA in College Student Development from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC, and a MS in Data Analysis and Communication from Agnes Scott College in Decatur, GA. They are currently a Ph.D. student at Oklahoma State University in the Fire and Emergency Management Administration program, where their research focuses on climate resiliency and disaster preparedness on small private college campuses in the southern US as well as ethical volunteering and service learning in disaster response.

Quote that inspires JLP

“That may be the most important thing to understand about humans. It is the unknown that defines our existence. We are constantly searching, not just for answers to our questions, but for new questions. We are explorers. We explore our lives day by day, and we explore the galaxy trying to expand the boundaries of our knowledge. And that is why I am here — not to conquer you with weapons or ideas, but to coexist and learn.” —Captain Benjamin Sisko, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

Fun fact

In my free time, I volunteer with nerd and geek conventions around the Metro Atlanta area including MomoCon, DragonCon and OutlantaCon.
