Our Team   /    Profile
Olivia C. Duell
Administrative Coordinator
Email: ocd3@cornell.edu

Olivia provides administrative support to the executive director of the Einhorn Center, including coordinating all aspects of schedules and office activities. She also serves as a knowledgeable and welcoming presence for the Einhorn Center and the Engaged Cornell Hub, receiving inbound communications by telephone and email, directing visitors, responding to routine inquiries and serving as the main point of contact for Hub residents for operational support.

Born and raised in Tompkins County, located on the traditional homelands of the Gayogo̱hó:nǫɁ (the Cayuga Nation), Olivia is passionate about serving her local community. She received a BA from Cornell, where she double-majored in English and feminist, gender and sexuality studies. She also received an MA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where she majored in English with a concentration in media, cinema and digital studies.

A quote that inspires Olivia

“Inviting compassion into the bloodstream of an institution’s agenda or a scholar’s purpose is more than productive, more than civilizing, more than ethical, more than humane; it’s humanizing.” —Toni Morrison

Fun Fact

I decided to become a vegetarian when I was five years old after learning that burgers are made of cows. If I ever won the lottery, I would open a farm sanctuary and rescue cows from the dairy and meat industry.
