Cornell Law School
A robust and thriving experiential learning program with roots in the 1960s
Since the launch of the Cornell Legal Aid Clinic in 1960, Cornell Law School has helped students move beyond the classroom into the world of practice. Today, the experiential learning program is an essential part of the school’s educational mission, encompassing more than twenty clinics and practicum courses and an extensive array of externships and simulation courses. For many students, these experiences are among the most enjoyable and meaningful law school learning opportunities, helping them to develop as excellent, ethical professionals under faculty-guided reflection.
