Give
opportunities for     /    Tompkins County Office for the Aging

The Tompkins County Office for the Aging is looking for volunteers who would be able to provide friendly visits or telephone reassurance calls to older adults who may be lonely and/or isolated.

Project CARE volunteers support older adults and caregivers in a variety of ways according to their needs and weekly visits are a wonderful opportunity for volunteers to join the lives of older adults in our community. Volunteers can plan on giving 1 to 3 hours each week to help a caregiver or older adult. The possibilities for assisting are numerous and the potential for making a difference in someone’s life is enormous. There are many older adults in our community who would welcome any help at all.

They are especially in need of people who are willing to volunteer in places outside of the City of Ithaca and in rural areas.
