Isabel M. Perera is author of The Welfare Workforce: Why Mental Health Care Varies Across Affluent Democracies (Cambridge University Press, in press). The book uses a comparative approach to explain why the supply of mental health care is lower in the United States than in many other countries. As an Engaged Faculty Fellow, she is developing a public-facing publication that articulates the project’s main findings to a general audience.
