Community Engagement Methodologies

As a Faculty Fellow in Engaged Learning, Jocelyn Poe is designing a community engagement methodologies course for planning students. In the course, Poe will use a trauma-informed, reparative lens to teach students how to engage with communities during planning processes. The goal is for students to experience — rather than simply read and learn about — the complications of engaging with communities that have been historically marginalized.

“I am excited about learning from other engaged scholars and feel FFEL is an ideal space to develop collaborative and engagement skills.” —Jocelyn Poe
