The Agricultural Experiential Robotics Platform (AgXRP) is an educational initiative that combines robotics, precision agriculture and sustainability to inspire the next generation of agricultural innovators. By developing low-cost, open-source robotics kits, the program makes advanced STEM learning accessible to schools and communities across New York state. In partnership with Experiential (a consortium of academic and industry partners), New York State Agriculture in the Classroom, and New York State 4-H, AgXRP is being developed by Cornell engineering students with the goal of deployment directly into classrooms and youth programs, where students can gain hands-on experience with automation, soil science and digital agriculture. These collaborations ensure that AgXRP not only enhances STEM and agricultural education but also strengthens local schools and communities by preparing students with the skills and perspectives needed to address future food security and sustainability challenges.
