As a Faculty Fellow in Engaged Scholarship, Joshua Felver is writing a manuscript for peer-reviewed publication that details the initial stages of providing training in Youth Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) to community-based extension providers (e.g., New York State 4H summer camp staff). Felver recently launched a project to provide programming across Cornell Cooperative Extension in response to the youth mental health crisis. The Engaged Faculty Fellowship Program is elevating this timely community-based public health initiative, connecting Felver with a network of engaged scholars, supporting project dissemination efforts and allowing him to contribute his expertise to the fellowship cohort.
