Engagement through MOOCs

Participation in global engaged learning is limited by logistics such as travel costs and identifying sufficient numbers of local partners. Although online engaged learning may overcome these barriers, research about whether it meets engaged learning goals is lacking. This grant team is assessing outcomes of online partnerships in which Cornell students help professionals participating in MOOCs implement community sustainability practices in China and other countries.
