To support Cornell students’ leadership development and community-engaged learning journeys, the Einhorn Center offers self-paced online courses through eCornell. Students who complete all five courses will earn an Einhorn Center Certificate in Community-Engaged Learning and Leadership (ECCELL), a testament to their commitment to becoming a leader with a public purpose.
To earn the certificate, you’ll cover five topics:
- Building a Better World with Community-Engaged Learning
- Developing Cultural Humility
- Supporting Partnerships
- Critical Reflection for Community Engagement
- Cultivating Community-Engaged Learning and Leadership
These sessions offer a deep dive into community-engaged learning, providing practical tools and strategies that you’ll be able to apply in your courses, projects or leadership roles.
The Certificate Program enhances teamwork, communication and leadership skills while addressing real-world challenges, empowering you to make a meaningful impact. It also provides a competitive edge for the Einhorn Center’s grants and awards, though acceptance is not guaranteed.
Students who earn the certificate are eligible to register to become Community-Engaged Learning and Teaching Facilitators, paid students positions that lead workshops and presentations on community-engagement topics.
