Through in-person workshops and online courses, the Einhorn Center supports Cornell students’ leadership development and community-engaged learning journeys. Students who complete five workshops or courses will earn a Certificate in Community-Engaged Learning and Leadership, a testament to their commitment to becoming a leader with a public purpose.
Whether you participate in person, online or a combination of both, you’ll cover the same five topics to earn the certificate:
- Building a Better World with Community-Engaged Learning
- Developing Cultural Humility
- Supporting Partnerships
- Critical Reflection for Community Engagement
- Cultivating Community-Engaged Learning and Leadership
These sessions offer a deep dive into community-engaged learning, providing practical tools and strategies that you’ll be able to apply in your courses, projects or leadership roles.
In this program, you have the freedom to choose your learning path. Whether you prefer to take the sessions in order or mix and match, the choice is yours.
In-person
Our fall 2024 workshops* will be held every Wednesday in October, 5–6: 30 p.m. Visit the workshop webpage to learn more about each session.
Online
Offered via eCornell, our self-paced online courses* can be started at any time. Learn more about the online program.
Hybrid
Want to take a combination of in-person and online? Just indicate that when you register to earn the certificate!
*If you want to take a few workshops or courses, but not earn the certificate, please register through the individual program pages.
The Certificate Program enhances teamwork, communication and leadership skills while addressing real-world challenges, empowering you to make a meaningful impact. It also provides a competitive edge for the Einhorn Center’s grants and awards, though acceptance is not guaranteed.
