Purpose
Purpose
The Community-Engaged Learning for Staff Institute (CELSI) is designed to enhance Cornell staff’s support of students by integrating community-engaged learning into their programming, advising and coaching. Through interactive workshops, discussions and skill-building sessions, you will develop your approach, have time and space to reflect, refine and strengthen your impact and have action plan to embed CEL.
What to expect?
- explore various program models that prepare and support students for meaningful community-engaged learning experiences
- gain resources and tools to redesign or shape programming with CEL
- connect with campus CEL networks and resources
Eligibility
Eligibility
CELSI is for:
- professional or academic staff who lead or support community engagement initiatives involving students
- internship or other career services professionals who support student placements
- Cornell Cooperative Extension association staff
- other student services staff, including advisors, residence life staff and program managers
- docents, librarians and others
It is not for:
- faculty (instead see the Engaged Faculty Fellowship Program or the Faculty Institute on Community Engaged Learning and Teaching)
