Alumni Advisory Council Bio
As a versatile creative professional for over 20 years, Amy Melnikoff Rosenberg ’95 brings conceptual and visual solutions to life as a creative leader, contributor and mentor. With expertise in planning, managing and executing the creative and branding for omnichannel marketing and communications initiatives, her roles have been in various industries from financial, publishing and cosmetic, to most recently in healthcare.
In 2007 Amy partnered with Cornellian Sam Shaber ‘94 to establish the Maribel Garcia Community Spirit Award for Remarkable Contributions to the Spirit of Humanity with the support of the Einhorn Center to honor the legacy of classmate Maribel Garcia ‘95 who tragically was taken from this world too soon. All who met Maribel quickly knew what a vibrant, compassionate person she was through the ways she constantly nurtured connections, including those made through her numerous involvements with both on-campus student organizations and by volunteering at off-campus organizations.
Each year Amy and Sam are honored to read applicants’ essays and get a sense of the numerous ways many Cornell students yearn to make true connections and impact a community through their focused efforts before they even graduate. Their awardees have been very diverse in scope and communities served.
