College of Agriculture and Life Sciences

Community-engaged learning enriches 20+ majors, reaching 2,300+ CALS students annually.

The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) champions transformative community engagement through rigorous academic programs, research initiatives and global experiential learning opportunities. Students participate in high-impact internships, groundbreaking research, and service projects spanning Tompkins County to international locations. These intensive experiences forge professional excellence, cultivate public stewardship and empower graduates to drive meaningful change in their fields and communities.
