Evaluating the Parents Apart Program at the Tompkins County Jail

When a person leaves prison, reestablishing and strengthening family relationships can be critical to ensuring a successful reentry. Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tompkins County (CCE-Tompkins) collaborates with reentry groups to give families the tools they need. In this project, undergraduates in the policy analysis and management capstone course assist CCE-Tompkins in evaluating a new parenting education program for separating and divorcing parents in the Tompkins County jail.
