Community Driven Research and Social Impact Collaborative in Rural Uganda
Since 2015, Cornell Institute of Public Affairs (CIPA) capstone students have traveled to Lira, Uganda to partner with the Global Livingston Institute and community stakeholders to develop ways to foster opportunities for livelihoods and reintegration of former child soldiers living there. The next cohort of CIPA students will use this grant to jointly develop, launch and document farmer vocational training and workforce development programs in the region. The students will conduct surveys and interviews with small farmers in Lira to inform and develop the trainings and curriculum.
