Addressing patient safety through ingenuity and outside-the-box solutions
In March 2024 Cornell undergrads will travel to New York City for Entrepreneurship at Cornell’s Health Hackathon, an immersive weekend addressing patient safety. The goal: collaborate with MDs, subject matter experts, medical staff and frontline workers to rapidly prototype solutions to improve patient safety.
Through a lens of entrepreneurship, teams create novel, feasible, viable solutions and in doing so discover their interests and value. They build the confidence and awareness they need to broaden their horizons and apply their skills to areas of need in our society. This Engaged Opportunity Grant funds transportation and student employees to support the event.
