In March 2020, “New York State on PAUSE” went into effect, and nonessential businesses closed in an attempt to slow the COVID-19 pandemic. Those experiencing homelessness and re-entering society from incarceration faced increased barriers to the services they need to sustain healthy and safe lives.
This community-engaged learning project enables and supports Cornell students in providing community partners with logistical and organizational support to facilitate direct crisis service provision. In addition, students will organize, analyze and share qualitative data collected by community partners to inform responses to unfolding re-entry realities in Tompkins County.
