Students Tell Own Research Investigations of Environmental Science of The Institute Discovering Environmental Scientists (STORIES of TIDES) is a unique opportunity for Cornell undergraduates interested in developing science communication skills and outreach products in the context of a two-week summer intern program on the banks of the Hudson River. Students are paired with a cohort of local and regional high school and college students and are tasked with science communication mentoring, collecting multimedia content and producing outreach material that conveys the TIDES experience to the Hudson Valley community.
